Touchdown Cairo! This colorful and bustling city is the first stop on your Egyptian getaway.

You and your kids will be greeted by a local representative, who will assist you through all formalities at the Cairo International Airport. Then, sit back and take in the view of the capital as you’re driven in a private air conditioned coach to your hotel. Check-in and unwind.

In the evening:
Your kids will have their first Egyptian meal at a local restaurant! Tonight’s festive atmosphere is the perfect time for your family to get to know your fellow travel buddies.
Today is that special once-in-a-lifetime experience that everyone (children and adults alike) dreams about. Make your way to the city of Giza along with a local guide at around 8:00 AM.

We'll visit two wonders of the Ancient World that have drawn visitors for millennia: the iconic Great Pyramids that appear to reach up to the sky, as well as the enigmatic Sphinx, which has the body of a lion and the head of a king, and is surrounded in mystery.

At the Great Pyramid of Khufu, climb inside and upwards as you make your way to the King’s Chamber. Please note: this is a short, narrow and challenging climb (so make sure everyone is wearing sneakers) but your children will feel elated and earn well-deserved bragging rights  – how many adults or kids do you know who can claim they have climbed into an Egyptian pyramid?

Afterwards, we’ll stop by a papyrus institute where you will learn how this unique paper is made, as well as perfume shops and bazaars.

at a local restaurant. Recommended: a chilled glass of Karkaday (hibiscus tea) will be refreshing after such a busy morning.

we’ll visit the Egyptian Museum, home to the most extensive collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. Here, you will see huge sarcophaguses made entirely of gold and covered in hieroglyphics, immense statues and priceless treasures including the Golden Mask of Tutankhamen, as well as relics that chronicle ancient Egyptians’ everyday lives. You can also visit the Mummy Room with your kids. It houses the mummies of many great Egyptian rulers, including Ramses II (access is at an additional cost).

After that, you’ll be free to spend some time for yourself: shop at Khan el-Khalili and the Wekalet El Ghouri markets. Wander and walk like an Egyptian amongst hundreds of little shops where you can purchase jewellery, fake papyrus paintings, small marble statues of Bastet, and other little treasures.
We’ll have dinner at a local restaurant.
After an early breakfast, we will be driven in a private coach to the Cairo domestic airport for your flight to Aswan (flight duration 1.5 hours).

After landing, we’ll be driven to our Nile cruiser stopping (en route to visit the High Dam, the unfinished obelisk and the temple of Philae). The cruiser, our home for the next three nights is sure to excite the children. There will be plenty of room to roam about and play as we sail the river all the way to Luxor. Climb aboard and settle into your rooms, enjoying the view of the riverbank that you will be able to see from the full-length windows in your room.

After lunch aboard the cruise, we’ll climb into a felucca, a graceful long wooden sailing boat fitted with wide white sails that have been used for thousands of years in Egypt, for a ride and the chance to experience an age-old tradition.

Enjoy the fresh breeze and the calm waters as we sail leisurely through the river; we’ll get off to visit Kitchener’s island that contains a beautiful Botanical Garden, and then The Mausoleum of Aga Khan, before heading back to the cruiser.
Back on board, you’re free to unwind in your cabins before we meet again for dinner. Overnight aboard in Aswan.

Today, you’ll enjoy breakfast and lunch on board the cruiser. In the afternoon, we’ll sail to Kom-Ombo, once a busy trading point for gold and elephants. Here, you will visit an unusual temple whose structure is perfectly symmetrical. Each half is dedicated to a specific deity - one for the crocodile god Sobek while the other is for Haroeris, the falcon god.

And kids, don’t miss the mummified crocodiles (yep, really).

Then, onwards to Edfu where we will dock for the night.
After breakfast, we will head out to visit a temple dedicated to the god Horus. We’ll then lunch on board the cruiser,  and spend the rest of the day sailing, first to Esna and then on to Luxor where we will dock for the night.

After an early breakfast, you’ll be transferred by land to the West Bank. Here, get ready for an aerial tour of Luxor, as you board a hot air balloon along with your children. The view from above is breathtaking- the rugged desert landscape dotted by lights from streets, buildings and the contrasting green expanse of agricultural fields and the snaking Nile River. This is a memory that your kids will cherish and recollect, years from now.

We’ll then swing by the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the only woman to rule as pharaoh and also explore the Valley of the Kings, where the who’s who of Ancient Egypt have been buried.

Here, you’ll be able to go inside a couple of tombs. The hieroglyphic murals that decorate the walls, in bright yellow, rust red and azure blue, are as beautiful and expressive as when they were first painted. To walk through the tombs really is to be in another time, another place. This really is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

After lunch at a local restaurant, we’ll visit the East Bank, site of the Karnak and Luxor temples. These are Egypt's greatest temple complexes, made up of countless ruined temples, pylons, sacred lakes and chapels, all built by successive pharaohs over 2,000 years. You’ll notice that the walls are covered in detailed hieroglyphics. Watch and listen, as the guide fascinates the kids with his mesmerizing tricks - he turns the symbols of an eye, an eagle and a snake into vowels, sentences, and stories of times past.

In the evening, we’ll check in to our hotel in Luxor. Here, we’ll have dinner and stay overnight.

After breakfast, we’ll check out and travel to Hurghada by an A/C coach. Located along the coast of the Red Sea, this beach resort town is a paradise, with water that’s calm, clear and sky-blue in colour, and water sports on offer too.

On arrival, we’ll check-in at our hotel and enjoy free time for the rest of the day.  Recommended: Head to the beach to play, splash and wade through the calm waters of the Red Sea with your children. And at dusk, watch the beautiful, orange sun sink into the sea.

We’ll have breakfast at the hotel. You’ll be free for the rest of the day to explore the town at your leisure.

The kids will love visiting the Makadi Water World. And this is also the perfect place to spend some quality time with your children: race your kids down the water slides, laugh, scream, slide down colourful tunnels and relax in swimming pools.

In the evening, you can head to the Hurghada marina, a promenade that is beautifully lit up during sunset. And if the kids feel thirsty, you can visit any of the cafes where you can sip your drink and get sweeping views of the Red Sea, specked occasionally with boats and yachts.

We’ll have lunch and dinner at the hotel and stay there overnight.

After breakfast, you’ll be free for the rest of the morning.

A trip to Egypt is incomplete without a camel-ride experience!

Head to the beach, and you’re sure to spot a camel-keeper who’ll offer a ride and even take some photos.

Later, you’ll be transferred to the Hurghada airport to catch your flight back home.
