360 Degree Video| Here's what it feels like to be in the Masai Mara

Sitting inside an open jeep, watching elephants and lions nearby are just some animal encounters in store in Africa - but expect TEN TIMES MORE wildlife during the Great Migration. Watch this video by Pallavi Nopany for a glimpse of what's in store.

Touchdown Nairobi!

You’ll be greeted at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by our team. Then, sit back and relax as you are driven in a private coach to your hotel. (Please note that arrival and departure transfers will be as per the suggested flight schedules. In the event that you arrive or depart at a time other than the recommended group arrival and departure time, a private transfer and visa assistance can be arranged at an additional cost.)

In the evening, you are free to explore the city and have dinner on your own.
This morning, after breakfast and a safari briefing, we’ll drive to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. It is perhaps one of the few regions left in Africa where you’ll find wildlife in exceptional abundance, with hundreds of thousands of zebras, plenty of lions, leopards, cheetahs and of course, hordes of wildebeests grazing and galloping in herds.

Upon arrival, we’ll check in and have lunch.
In the afternoon: gear up for your first game drive! It’s quite common and easy to spot the ‘Big Five’ in the Masai Mara, so keep your eyes open and cameras ready as we drive our way through bushes and open plains.
Early this morning: an optional hot air balloon safari. Climb into the basket and drift upwards over the Mara just as the sun rises. From this unique vantage, you'll be able to spot gazelles galloping across the grasslands, herds of elephants and zebras going about their morning routine. It's truly spectacular. (Please note that this is an optional activity at an additional price of INR 37,200.00/person plus service tax for 1 person including transfers to and from the lodge).
We’ll spend the entire day exploring Masai Mara!
From your window seat, you’ll be able to easily spot wildlife as we drive out through the plains. If you’re lucky, you might also spot some action- with glimpses of lions, cheetahs and other predators prowling in their hunting grounds.
After breakfast, we’ll drive to Isebania border with packed lunches in tow, en route to the Serengeti.
Here, for hundreds of years, around 1.5 million wildebeest and other iconic wildlife chase the rains across this grassland. It’s a journey beset with drama and danger, as the herds have to contend with Serengeti lions, leopards, hyenas and crocodiles as they make their way.  The Great Migration is truly nature’s most thrilling spectacle.
In the evening, head out on a game drive for your first opportunity to see a sea of animals - the massive herds of wildebeest and zebra -  dappled in the colours of a spectacular Serengeti sunset.
We’ll spend the day out on game drives in the Serengeti National Park, across the rolling plains and a stone’s throw from herds of antelope, gazelle, giraffes, rhinos, buffaloes, hippos, cheetahs, baboons, not to mention more than 500 types of birds including ostriches and black eagles.
There’s no telling what you might encounter during your drive: golden-maned lions lounging in the sun, a cheetah hunting its prey, a huge family of hippos contentedly wallowing in a lake, a mother elephant giving its baby a mud bath, zebras drinking by the waterside and crocodiles waiting around, strategizing their next kill; and that’s what makes a day in the Serengeti so special.
Today, we’re driving north to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a strikingly beautiful region of grassy savanna, woodlands and volcanic craters, with plenty of wildlife and the big five – as well as herds of cows and goats owned by Masai herdsmen.
There will be plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife around the areas as we’ll drive down the crater on a game drive and along the floor too. Keep an eye out for black-maned lions, herds of wildebeest, large tusker elephants and, if you’re lucky, endangered black rhinos too.
Then, drive up to your lodge, check-in and enjoy dinner.
From Ngorongoro, we’ll head to Lake Manyara passing through Karatu.
Lake Manyara National Park provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded here, including thousands of pink-hued flamingos and other large water birds such as pelicans, cormorants and storks.
Arrive at your lodge, check in and have a hot lunch.
Later, a game drive in the park awaits, and here there’s a spectacular sight everywhere you look, from the waters of the lake tinged pink with hundreds of flamingos to the region’s famous lions that have made a name for themselves thanks to their unusual behaviour of climbing trees for a snooze.
Sadly, it’s your last day in Tanzania. Drive through Karatu, enjoying beautiful views of the countryside and villages en route to Arusha.
After a break for lunch at Arusha and a bit of curio shopping if you have time, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your journey home or onwards to Zanzibar (1-way Arusha-Zanzibar: USD 290.00/person approximately).

Have a safe flight!
