Touchdown Cape Town!

Our representative will greet you at the airport, and chauffeur you to your hotel in Blouberg, where you’ll be receiving your motorbikes the next day.

After check-in, relax and unwind.

Dinner: get your first taste of South African cuisine! Tonight’s festive atmosphere is perfect to get to know your new crew better.
After breakfast, we’ll hit the road with our Royal Enfields to explore this coastal city. You’ll spend the first day riding in and around Cape Town, getting used to your bike and the surroundings.

Our journey starts at the green and leafy Southern Suburbs, from where we’ll ride to
Muizenberg, a historical town built in the 1700s by the Dutch East India Company.

Then: ride along the coast through the fishing towns of Fishhoek, St.James and Kalk Bay towards Simonstown, home to the South African Navy. Here, you’ll come across the statue of Just Nuisance, famous for being the only dog ever to be enlisted in the British Royal Navy. During World War 2. Just was entitled to the same benefits as any naval officer of the rank Able Seaman, including a gun salute during his funeral.

We’ll then head to the famous Cape Point, a breezy, rugged and scenic location close to where the Atlantic and Indian Ocean meet.

Afterwards: lunch at a local restaurant. It’s time to sample the local South African cuisine.

Recommended: try some popular dishes like biltong, bobotie and melktert.

Later: it’s time to experience the world-famous Chapman’s Peak Drive, a road carved into Chapman’s Peak that gives a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean and the scenic surroundings. We’ll then ride onto Hout Bay, Camps Bay (famous for their beaches) and V & A Waterfront that houses South Africa’s oldest working harbour.

We’ll stay overnight at our hotel in Blouberg.

Kickstart the day by riding through the beautiful vineyards of Cape Winelands, before heading for the winding roads of the east coast. We’ll make our way through Strand and Gordons Bay, seaside towns known for having some of the best beaches in the country, before stopping at Hermanus.

Hermanus is popular for being one of the best places in the world to watch whales. So, it’s definitely recommended that you go whale-watching from cliff-tops or by boat. Alternatively, you can just relax on the beach and watch the sunset. We’ll stop for the night here.

Note: If you’d like to go whale-watching by boat, the tour will cost approximately 700 South African Rands.
Today, we’ll ride inland, first through the quaint town of Bredasdorp. One of the popular attractions here is the Shipwreck Museum, which tells the stories of about 150 wrecks that happened along the nearby Agulhas Reef.

Then: we’ll stop at a campsite in Suurbraak, just outside the picturesque town of Swellendam.
In the camp, you’ll experience the beauty of the African bush and the hospitality of its people.

Go for an afternoon hike before being treated to a local braai (barbeque), chatting with your crew and the locals around a campfire. Tonight, we’ll set camp and sleep under the stars, while enjoying a bonfire.
After breakfast, we’ll ride along the famous Route 62, also known as the Wine Route. This scenic route offers a range of activities for travellers, such as wine tours, safari drives, tribal art, cultural tours, hiking, canoeing and even skydiving.

We’ll enter picturesque towns along this route, and one of the highlights during this trip is a visit to the queer, yet popular Ronnies Sex Shop Bar & Restaurant, a pub and a mecca for African motorcycle riders.

Named hence as a result of a prank played by one of the owner’s friends, Ronnie’s has had visitors from all over the world and is a regular pitstop for bikers, local farmers and people taking this route regularly.

Later: a short ride will take us to Ladismith, a town of vineyards nestled between mountains. We’ll stop here for the day and you’ll be free to do as you wish.

Recommended: head to the nearby town of Calitzdorp where you can relax in the warm pools of Calitzdorp Spa, a natural hot spring.
Today, get ready for an off-roading adventure! We’ll ride in paths with many twists, turns and narrow bends, as we head through Seweweekspoort Pass, a rocky mountain ravine with hidden valleys. Here, you can stop for a while under the shadows of the towering mountains, to admire the beauty of the rugged landscapes.

After riding through the pass, we’ll hit the highway again for a short ride to Matjiesfontein, a small railway town steeped in South African history. The whole town owes its existence to the Cape Government Railways, whose founder had chosen a route through this region to connect Cape Town to the diamond fields of Kimberley, leading to a settlement around the railways.

Here, we will visit  the Transport Museum that houses a remarkable collection of vintage cars from the 1930 -1960s  era, including Chevys, Dodges and a Jaguar MK8.
After breakfast, we’ll go off-roading through narrow roads in the rustic Karoo region, over mountain passes into the Ceres valley, a region popular for the finest fresh and dried fruits in the country. Don’t forget to taste the fruit juices while you are here!

We’ll ride onwards to Worcester, which is part of the largest wine producing region in South Africa. You will be greeted with a wine-tasting session, where you’ll get the chance to savour some of the best wines South Africa has to offer! We’ll stay overnight in Worcester.
Today, you’ll truly experience the beauty of the African wilderness!  Spend the day on a private nature reserve, tucked away at the foot of the rustic and serene Brandwacht Mountains.

We’ll start with a safari to spot the Big Five of Africa - lion, elephant, rhino, cape buffalo and leopard. Keep your eyes open and your cameras ready to capture memories!

Later: enjoy the last ride through the picturesque Bainskloof Mountain Pass. We’ll make our way through the towns of Wellington and Paarl, and then ride back into Cape Town.
Today, you can wake up to a late breakfast and you’ll be free to explore Cape Town.

Recommended: If time permits, go for a cable ride or hike to the top of the beautiful Table Mountain for a view of the city and the clouds that engulf its peak - the Table Cloth. Legend has it that the Table Cloth is the result of a smoking contest between the devil and a legendary local pirate known as Van Hunks.

Later: unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. You’ll be transferred to the airport to catch your flight back home.
